Porcelain is a type of ceramic tile, but is harder, stronger and denser, resulting in the tile being more water-resistant. Porcelain is manufactured using fine clay particles, fired at high temperature.
Porcelain can be manufactured to look like natural products and it can be difficult to differentiate without close inspection.
Porcelain is naturally stain-resistant and will not etch from acidic liquids, its water resistance makes it easier to maintain and clean up spillages, however, the grout lines are porous, making them susceptible to ingrained dirt and staining, due to this we recommend that the grout lines are Sealed after a deep clean.
We ask for all your furniture and valuable items to be removed prior to commencement of work.
We will then ensure your walls, skirting and kickboards are suitably protected using plastic sheeting and low tack tape, the floor is then prepared by vacuuming to remove all dry soil and grit.
Using the appropriate professional cleaning solution and floor pad/brush the floor and grout lines are deep cleaned using mechanical agitation, the floor is then rinsed, neutralised and extracted using a high powered wet extraction system.
The floor is speed dried using industrial air movers, once the floor is dry, the grout can be sealed to prevent soiling/staining and for ease of cleaning.
